I am still massively unimpressed with it. I managed to do that workbench thing where you combine two for a greater quality one, to get myself a 600 quality long shotgun. On an unrelated note, now that my scavenging is super high (like 70+ish) I've been finding 500+ quality bits like crazy. I am going to have to desperately mine out tons of rocks so I can make more cobblestone so I can make more concrete.Īlso.what does upgrading to the second tier concrete do? Still seems to have the same hit points as the cobblestone.hopefully it massively reduces damage taken or something? I failed on my screenshot quest last night, hopefully tonight goes better and I don't forget. We'll add some aesthetics later, but for now it's quite a bit of concrete with a few spots of metal here and there (it can support more horizontally) and making the zombies fight on our terms in the kill box we built. There are still spikes in spots, but we're being more strategic with them. I didn't like that much because maintaining a lot of defenses gets annoying after awhile, which is why I pushed for utilitarian building this time. I say this from experience on our past server, our castle was on a drop like that and we had to go down and start rebuilding some spots and adding spikes just to make sure. It will take a long time for them to collapse the whole thing from doing that, but they can.

Once they have a hole, more will be there and then they'll have a tunnel. Once they hit a spot where they can't, if they're actively hunting you (and sometimes if not) they will just start digging into the side of the drop. Some may even find the right spot to make it. Would the zombies break the actual environment?

Reposting for clarification in case it got buried last page. hahanope, took almost 2000 to fill the bike. Only downside is I thought I had a lot of gas with almost 500 stockpiled. I can go SO FAR NOW and in absolutely no time. I managed, thanks to pumping my scavenging skills, to find a 400+ battery and wheels for it, and crafted a 400+ frame/seat/handlebar.and got stupid stupid lucky and pulled a 500+ engine out of a car, and a near 600 quality shopping basket, because of course that's gotta be the highest quality thing on the bike. Unless you go at it with a pickaxe and make it perfectly vertical.chances are somethigns gonna climb it.Īnd if you make it 100% vertical chances are decent that zombies will just attack the wall and burrow under your base.leading to collapse Would that make for one less area to cover? Because i'm thinking when I rebuild not having to worry about anything attacking from behind would be fantastic. What about natural rock walls and things like that? Where I built had about a.idk 200 foot drop behind it. I think that's a good strategy early on.Īlso, all the data files are xml so its really easy to edit things if any particular thing is bugging you. Turning off fires and laying low will work for days 1 through 6 but on day 7 the horde will come for you no matter what so sometimes its better to build a "base" to live in and a "base" to fight the horde in and keep them separate. spikers, trenches, vantage points of shooting. and zombies that will shoot.Īs mentioned you want to build layers of protection. There is one variant of zombies that can climb walls also.
#7dtd valmod trap skill i upgrade
I've panic-begun to mass produce concrete to upgrade the castle in hopes i'll be ready for day 42.Īnd now I've lost track of real time and holy shit I'm off to bed to try to get a couple hours at least. God damn day 35 was a major kick in the ass, and a huuuge difficulty spike. Somehow against all odds I managed to rebuild the destroyed cobble and seal myself back in, and just sporatically shot my head out the doors to blast at especially dangerous things.

Eventually had a major breach, and 3 fat zombies ran in, dumped I don't know how many shotgun shots into their faces and then was treated to their lovely deaths.which are explosive, and further fucked up the base. Spent the entire night desperately repairing vault doors and cobblestone walls from inside, as zombies outside tore them to utter shit. they killed me, and I managed to run back and dive back into the whole and seal everything up. Took shelter in the new base, and the second 2200 dinged, I had 3 spider zombies over the walls as I was struggling to seal in the ceiling. I was having to much fun exploring far and wide on the minibike, that I completely lost track of time and didn't build like I had planned. Well the day 35 horde just caught me with my pants around my ankles.
